We celebrated Easter today in Monrovia. Before going to church, Jon and I took a 40 minute walk on the beach of the Atlantic Ocean. We went to the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Monrovia for the Easter service. As most of you know the Episcopal Church is usually liturgical in nature and is considered a high church. I had to smile b/c this was a mixture between a high church and the Pentecostal Church. Most high churches do not have a “hallelujah time.” My preference – the hallelujah time - it was great singing. We had to leave the service to get back – so a little over 3 hours later we walked out of the church service and I know it was probably going to go on at least another 30 minutes.
